Home at last.
Well in the end my poll the other day had 16 votes with 8 boy and 8 girl. Shane and I would have liked to have had a girl but were both really feeling that it would turn out to be a boy.
So, the end result was that I will forever be out numbered in our household because at this point we will not be working to make up for the lack of girls around here. :) Not that we are officially done but we won’t be working to add 3 girls. We are very blessed with the arrival of Noah Matthew Kennard. He was born at 9:53 am Saturday January 23rd. Elijah and Noah both have birthdays on the 23rd (Aug. and Jan.) and Josiah and I both have birthdays on the 21st (Jun. and Apr.).
Noah was 8 lbs. 8 oz. and 21.5 inches long (I know those aren’t the initial stats you may have received but we learned differently later). It looks like he might actually have mommy’s brown eyes and he has quite a bit of very dark hair. He is a very mellow little guy so far. The OB came in laughing and told us he didn’t even make a peep when he was circumcised (they do numb it but still).
The boys did well with him today but it has been a long couple of days away from mommy and daddy so it will probably take a day or two to get well adjusted. We are all tired at this point. Thank you for all the prayers and comments that went out to us. We are very appreciative. I will try to share more in the days ahead consistently.
Here is a photo of the proud big brother! He is excited about the baby and wants to help out with him. :)
